Environmental Legal Registers

An Environmental Legal Register (ELR) evaluates the level of compliance of a specific company or organisation with environmental legislation. All levels of legislation are identified, i.e. national, provincial, and local (including by-laws). Company specific policies and practices and any Environmental Authorisations held also form part of the ELR. The initial ELR will set a benchmark for subsequent audits of the ELR allowing continual improvements in terms of environmental performance.
